Privacy Policy

PlaySnake has no accounts and doesn't ask for your name, email or any other personal information to play. Here is exactly what happens when you use the site.

Data saved on your device

We use your browser's localStorage to remember your best scores, game settings (walls, speed, sound) and, in Snake IO, your level, XP, unlocked skins and stats. This data never leaves your device. Clear your browser's site data to delete it.

Classic game pages

The home page, guides, 2-player, Nokia and full-screen pages use no cookies, no analytics and no advertising scripts. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers. See Google's privacy policy.

Snake IO page

The Snake IO page uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to measure, in aggregate, how the game is used (pages viewed, device type, approximate region, clicks and scrolls), so we can fix problems and improve it. These services may set cookies. You can block them with your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker, and the game still works. If you join an online multiplayer room, the nickname you choose and your in-game moves are sent to the game server so other players can see them.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Netlify, which processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

Children

PlaySnake is suitable for all ages and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
